If you have registered your doctorate at the Zentrales Prüfungsamt until 31.03.2021, these Doctoral Degree Regulations apply for you. There are only little changes to the procedures.
The following points should be noted for dissertation procedures under the old Doctoral Degree Regulations:
a. All registered doctoral students should enrol as doctoral students at the University of Lübeck. This enrolment must be extended until the dissertation procedure is completed by passing the doctoral viva. Enrolment takes place at the Student Service Center.
b. Enrolled students in study programs of the University of Lübeck or other universities cannot enrol as doctoral students at the same time. However, enrolment as a doctoral student is required at the time of the opening of the dissertation procedure.
2. Registration at the Center for Doctoral Studies Lübeck (CDSL)
All doctoral candidates doing a doctorate under the old Doctoral Degree Regulations must register at the CDSL by 30.06.2021, unless the dissertation procedure has already been opened at that time. The registration takes place online here.
3. Supervision agreement
All doctoral candidates doing a doctorate under the old Doctoral Degree Regulations must conclude a supervision agreement by 30.09.2021, unless the dissertation procedure has already been opened at that time. The supervision agreement must be submitted to the CDSL. This can be done either by mail or by email to cdsl.service(at)uni-luebeck(dot)de . The template can be found in the Download area.
4. Doctoral Seminar
a. When submitting the dissertation to the Zentrales Prüfungsamt of the University of Lübeck, a certificate of participation in a doctoral seminar must be presented.
b. Several options are available for this purpose:
i. Participation in the doctoral seminar or in the seminar ProWiSP of the University of Lübeck (offered in the 1st clinical year)
ii. Participation in science seminars offered within the clinic/institute.
iii. Participation in other science seminars upon request at the Zentrales Prüfungsamt.
The submission of the doctorate takes place at the Zentrales Prüfungsamt. Information on formalities and contact can be found here.
The new Doctoral Degree Regulation can be found here.
A detailed schedule of the new structured doctoral format will be posted here shortly.
