Thank you for your interest in the study programs at the Universität zu Lübeck!

German or EU-citizen and/or have a German university entrance qualification

The Online Application applies to you if you are a German or EU-citizen and/or have a German university entrance qualification. 

For German citizens with a university entrance qualification from outside the EU, a nationwide recognition of your university entrance qualification is required. This is issued by the Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle of the respective federal states.

Non EU-citizens

If you are not an EU citizen and you obtained your “University Entrance Certificate” abroad, you must apply to uni-assist for admission to the first semester at the Universität zu Lübeck. This also applies to all non-German citizens applying for admission to the Infection Biology programme.

Specifications of the program

Graduation:

Master of Science (M.Sc.)
in Infection Biology

Duration: 

4 semesters, 120 ECTS 

Beginning: 

Winter semester (1st October)

Application period: 

1st June - 15th July every year

Requirements:

Bachelor (life sciences, biology and related*) or

2. state exam in human or veterinary medicine 

Language Requirement: 

English (B2 or better, ILTES 6.5 or better)

*Not eligible are students with degrees in i.e. Biotechnology, Dental-Hygiene, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy or any 1st professional degree in Medicine e.g. an MBBS. Students should have a bachelor with some knowledge in molecular biology and a practical bachelors thesis
