Since the second announcement of four new German Centres for Healthcare Research of the Federal Ministry for Education and Science in November 2010, the University of Luebeck has been granted membership in four of these centers that aim at combatting major medical challenges of the future with scientific excellence: 

I. German Centres for Healthcare Research

As a result of a grant procedure with international reviewing for the implementation of German Centres for Healthcare Research, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has granted UzL scientific partcipation in the following centers:

German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK)

German Centre for Infection Research (DZIF)

German Centre for Research on Diabetes (DZD)
