CDSL is a central facility at the Universität zu Lübeck. It is organised with a head of the department, deputies, an advisory board and an office. The duties and organisation of various office holders at CDSL are set forth in the
CDSL is divided into four departments (organisation chart): Biomedicine, Informatics and Engineering, Computing in Medicine and Life Sciences, and Cultural Studies and Knowledge Cultures. Each department has a unique education programme and its own head of department. Graduate colleges at the Universität zu Lübeck can join any of the departments from a content and organisation standpoint.
Each of the sections (Medicine, Informatics/Engineering and Natural Sciences) is represented by an ombudsman at CDSL, who is involved in matters concerning doctorates, and can be reached by phone through the graduation services office.
