Internship in Clinical Biobanking

Ethics, data protection, quality management, processing of samples.

For the first time, the Interdisciplinary Center for Biobanking-Lübeck (ICB-L) welcomes an intern from France who has come for a six-month stay. Hana Fkiri studies at the Université Cote d‘Azur, where she is working towards her Master of Science (MSc) degree in the area of biobanks and complex data management.

“We are pleased that Hana has decided to do her first internship with us,” said Dr. Friedemann Flügge when welcoming her on 1 March 2019 on behalf of the entire Biobank Team. As one of the university’s newer institutions, it is proud to be able to help train students in the area of clinical biobanking.

Hana Fkiri will become acquainted with the various aspects of the biobank and, among other things, gain insight into topics such as ethics and data protection, quality management, the processing of samples, and data management.
