Submissions and nominations are open until August 31, 2023.
This year, the Open Science Preis der Universität zu Lübeck (Open Science award of the University of Lübeck) will be awarded for the second time after the installment in 2022. Its aim is to make Open Science better known and to promote it within the university.
Individuals or groups with an affiliation to the University of Lübeck or the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), Campus Lübeck are eligible for the award. The object of submission is a scientific project that has excelled in the areas of transparency, reproducibility, reusability, and open communication and has gone beyond the standards of the respective field or has created means to raise these standards or make them more easily achievable. In addition to scientific publications in journals, this may also include preprints, theses, software, teaching materials, infrastructure projects, or the like. The date of publication (for theses submission) should not have been before January 01, 2020. The prize winners will be selected by a jury consisting of scientific staff (professors, postdocs, PhD students) of the University of Lübeck and UKSH and representatives of the student body.
The prize is endowed with 1.000€.
Submissions should include the following:
• A link to the project
• A short summary of the project (200-250 words)
• A short explanation why the project should be awarded (200-250 words).
Nominations are also possible.

The award will be presented as part of the University’s other awards on November 9, 2023. The place will be announced at a later date.
