Online participation via Webex: uni-luebeck.webex.com/uni-luebeck/j.php
In her lecture, “Sex differences in astrocytes and oligodendrocytes in the context of Parkinson’s disease”, Prof. Schulze-Hentrich will explore how glial biology contributes to sex differences in the development and progression of Parkinson’s disease. Her research focuses on the interaction of genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors, with particular attention to sex-specific mechanisms in neurodegeneration.
Since 2023, Julia Schulze-Hentrich has been Professor of Genetics and Epigenetics at Saarland University. Her work centers on gene expression and epigenetic regulation in neurodegenerative diseases, combining genome-wide sequencing approaches with interdisciplinary research on sex differences in neuroglial function.
