Contents of teaching:
  • Introduction to host-pathogen interaction using different examples
  • Importance of commensal colonization
  • Introduction to methods used for the analysis of host-pathogen interaction with focus on omics methods to analyze genes, proteins and lipids and imaging methods to visualize host-pathogen interaction
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
  • Understanding of different approaches to investigate how host and pathogen can interact and its impact on disease
  • Knowledge of in vivo and in vitro methods to analyze pathogen-host interaction
  • Insight into experimental design and data analysis of imaging and omics experiments
