MEDISERT stands for Medical Services and Technologies and will shortly be set up as a limited company of the University of Lübeck, with a 25 % share of the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck. The excellent relations between both Universities have made the bundling of activities in the area of medical technology of the University of Applied Sciences inside MEDISERT possible.

The UniTransferklinik aims at expanding and supporting research, technology development and technology transfer in the area of implementation and the continuing improvement of product and quality management, methods and instruments as well as system assessment for projects, products and methods, especially in the context of medical products and their application in health care institutions (hospitals and others). The Medical Laser centre Lübeck is a non profit technology transfer institution and know-how collecting society for biophotonics, which cooperates closely with the Institute of Biomedical Optics (BMO) of the University of Lübeck. The MLL offers application- and problem-oriented investigation of innovative methods to industrial partners, from the development of prototypes with admission according to the Medical Devices Law up to the clinical testing with partners.
According to needs and possibilities, support by public subsidies may additionally be consulted.

The operation panel provides the infrastructure and organization necessary to connect scientists of the medical and technical-scientific faculties in projects with clinical users and partners from industry. These projects aim at developing, testing and integrating medical technology innovations (transfer op). A second focus of the op panel is the formation and continuing education of medical personnel - from students to specialists. An individual training environment is offered to each user group (continuing education- op).
